In order to support the current Engineering Teams Airbus Commercial is looking for a

Process Improvement Manager (d/f/m)

for the Site Engineering Team in Hamburg.

Your location

You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Your tasks and responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Site Engineering Team (SET) cover three main areas:

- MAP Mise au point for all structure, stress, electrical system Installation and mechanical system Installation/support to production programs

- Continuous product development and change management activities for Airframe (all programs)
- Business development (process modernization and digitization, automation and digitization of business processes; linking of site engineering-related processes to the Industry 4.0 activities of the plant)

In the role of Process Improvement Manager, you are responsible for preparing, initiating and implementing improvements in the areas of processes, working methods and coordination procedures across the departments. This affects the entire Hamburg site engineering as well as the site engineering Augsburg, Stade and Nordenham (Hamburg office). In detail, this includes the following activities:

• Identification of process weaknesses and, if appropriate, takeover of improvement projects

• Improvement of non-conformity, concession and DQN design query notes processes and the implementation of process flows to achieve KPIs

• Creation, management, execution and control of the implementation of Practical Problem Solving (PPS) initiatives

• Coordination of service level agreements and work share agreements aimed at securing day-to-day operations

• Proposing and implementing improvement projects in site engineering with the aim of internally improving ways of working in the engineering (MAP Mise au Point) specialist teams

• Support in the annual Airbus operational finance planning from a site engineering perspective

• Support in the data provision of key performance indicator representation

• Control of SQCDP (Safety, quality, cost, delivery and people), maintenance and improvement
  

Desired skills and qualifications

Which qualifications do you bring with you?

• You have joy and extensive experience in process improvement

• You are well versed in stakeholder management at different (management) levels and can easily network with other areas in the company

• You have already successfully managed various improvement projects

• You have a project management certification

• You are fluent in English and have advanced knowledge in German

• You are a team player and are willing to travel (possibly approx. 10% of the working time depending on the improvement project)

• You have a degree in engineering, computer science, industrial engineering, business informatics or a comparable degree

• Analytical skills like 9S, 5 why, KT or Shainin are a plus

• Experience in Practical Problem Solving method is a plus

Deine Aufgaben und Verantwortlichkeiten

Die Verantwortlichkeiten des Site Engineering Teams (SET) umfassen drei Schwerpunkte:

• MAP für alle Programme im Bereich Struktur, Stress, Electrical System Installation und Mechanical System Installation/Support to production

• Continuous Product Development und Change Management Tätigkeiten für Airframe (alle Programme)

• Business Development (Prozess-Modernisierung und Digitalisierung, Automatisierung und Digitalisierung von Geschäftsabläufen; Anknüpfung der Site Engineering bezogenen Prozesse an die Industrie 4.0 Aktivitäten des Werks)

In der Rolle des/der Process Improvement Manager bist du verantwortlich für das Vorbereiten, Anstoßen und Durchführen von Verbesserungen im Bereich Prozesse, Arbeitsweisen und Abstimmungsabläufen über die Bereiche hinweg. Dies betrifft das gesamte Hamburger Site Engineering sowie die Site Engineerings Augsburg, Stade und Nordenham (Hauptsitz Hamburg). Im Detail umfasst dies folgende Tätigkeiten:

• Identifizierung von Prozessschwächen und, wenn passend auch Übernahme von Verbesserungsprojekten

• Verbesserung der Non-Conformity, Concession und DQN Design query notes Prozesse und die Umsetzung der Prozessabläufe um KPIs zu erreichen

• Erstellung, Leitung, Durchführung und Steuerung der Implementierung von Practical Problem Solving (PPS) Initiativen

• Abstimmung von Service Level Agreements und Work Share Agreements, die darauf abzielen, das operative Tagesgeschäft abzusichern

• Vorschlagen und Durchführung von Verbesserungsprojekten im Site Engineering mit dem Ziel der internen Verbesserung von Ways of Working in den Engineering (MAP) Fachteams

• Unterstützung bei der jährlichen Airbus Operational Finance Planung aus Site Engineering Sicht

• Unterstützung bei der Datenbereitstellung von Key Performance Indikator Darstellung

• Steuerung der SQCDP (Sicherheit Qualität Kosten Lieferung und Personal) Pflege und Verbesserung

Erforderliche Kenntnisse und Qualifikationen

Welche Qualifikationen bringst du mit?

• Du hast Freude und umfangreiche Erfahrungen in Prozessverbesserung

• Du bist im Stakeholder Management auf unterschiedlichen (Führungs-) Ebenen versiert und kannst dich problemlos mit anderen Bereichen im Unternehmen vernetzen

• Du hast bereits unterschiedliche Verbesserungsprojekte erfolgreich geführt

• Du kannst eine Projektmanagement Zertifizierung aufweisen

• Du verfügst über sehr gute Englischkenntnisse und gute Deutschkenntnisse

• Du bist teamfähig und du bringst Bereitschaft für Reisetätigkeiten (möglich ca. 10% der Arbeitszeit je nach Verbesserungsprojekt)

• Du hast einen Studienabschluss im Bereich Ingenieurwesen, Informatik, Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen, Wirtschaftsinformatik oder einen vergleichbaren Abschluss

• Analytische Fähigkeiten wie 9S, 5 why, KT oder Shainin sind ein Plus

• Erfahrung in der Methode “Practical Problem Solving” ist ein Plus
